Immersive Sight: An Eyecare Workshop

The Eyecare Village by Eyeviser presents an experiential eyecare workshop that combines eye health education with empathy-building. Participants engage in guided vision impairment simulations and interactive activities. These sessions are uniquely facilitated by visually impaired persons who share firsthand experiences of navigating daily life with vision challenges.
Through this immersive approach, participants gain practical knowledge about essential eye care tips and learn to recognise warning signs of eye diseases. The workshop creates powerful moments of reflection that foster deeper understanding and empathy for persons with vision impairment.
This experience culminates in a meaningful call to action, encouraging participants to prioritise regular comprehensive eye examinations, adopt preventive practices, and become advocates for inclusive eye care in their communities.
Suitable for adults.
Cost: $25 per pax (this fee can be offset for a comprehensive eye examination at The Eyecare Village by Eyeviser).
Free for PWDs and caregivers who are either DDR or CHAS blue card holders.

The Eyecare Village by Eyeviser is pleased to offer complimentary eye health screenings for persons with disabilities and special needs as part of the Enabling Lives Festival. We understand that standard clinical environments can be challenging, which is why our examinations are tailored to each person’s comfort level, ensuring a positive and stress-free experience.
Our comprehensive screening includes prescription check, as well as a thorough examination of the corneas, eyelids, retinas and optic nerves to detect cataracts, glaucoma, retinal conditions and other eye health issues that can impact quality of life. Our team of experienced optometrists uses a patient-centric approach, prioritising communication and trust to accurately assess visual health.
Early detection of eye diseases is crucial for preventing vision loss and addressing problems that can affect learning, development, and daily living. We are committed to making essential eye care accessible to everyone, providing a vital service for a community that is often underserved.
