Description

Just like a health screening, a comprehensive eye exam can pick up early eye conditions, especially those that are asymptomatic. A thorough check of the front, back and intraocular pressure of your eye can detect for eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataract, age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

Full comprehensive eye examination by a qualified optometrist that includes the following:

(a) History Taking Visual Acuity Test: Measures sharpness of vision

(b) Refraction : Determines type & degree of refractive error (provide your prescription for spectacles or contact lenses)

(c) Slit Lamp Exam: Examines the anterior part of the eye for signs of dry eyes, growth or tumour on the eye, cataract, contact lens related issues etc.

(d) Retinal Imaging: Examines the posterior part of the eye to assess the condition of the macular, retina and optic nerve head etc.Detect conditions such as retinal tears or detachment, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

(e) Eye pressure: Check your eye pressure to detect conditions such as glaucoma

(f) Assessment & Management: Optometrist consultation & referral
